Vanita Bellen’s mission is to enable people, teams and organizations to shape the future that they desire, revealing their own True North; that unwavering calibration point that guides our development journey. As an executive coach and thought partner, she supports her clients in seeing a new direction that positively transforms the effectiveness of people and processes. With more than 25 years of experience in human resources, healthcare management and organizational development, she blends neuroscience, systems theory, change principles, and world class leadership theory and practices to expertly develop learning and development solutions. With a keen eye for possibility, Vanita works with her clients to uncover new ways of thinking and chart a course that propels them along their path.
Vanita is highly-sought to facilitate organizational, team and individual learning. Vanita grooms emerging leaders for future leadership roles and helps existing leaders reach heightened levels of individual and organizational impact. As a team coach, she actively fosters collaborative behaviors that generate trust and buy-in, and yield sustainable results.
Formerly a director and executive for various medical institutions in Colorado, Vanita understands the intricacies of complex organizations and the importance of tapping into the collective wisdom of all employees in order to streamline organizational systems and create highly effective cultures. She has a proven track record of transforming cultures within challenging environments, re-engineering systems to improve their effectiveness, facilitating leadership at all levels and designing and implementing shared governance.
Vanita is a graduate of the Newfield Network coach training program with a Professional designation in coaching, a Neuro-Linguistic Program (NLP) practitioner and a certified mediator. She is an administrator for the Meyers Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI), certified in the full suite of 360 degree tools from the Center for Creative Leadership and is an administrator for the Align to Thrive Culture Assessment. Vanita is skilled in action learning and trained in the Accelerated Implementation Methodology (AIM) process for leading change. She holds a certificate in Positive Psychology and she is currently studying the neuroscience of leadership. She is a published author and experienced presenter.
Vanita holds Bachelor’s degrees in Science and in Business Administration from the University of Manitoba in Canada and a Masters in Health Sciences from the University of Toronto. When she’s not coaching businesses to success, she teaches at the graduate level at the University of Denver. As a volunteer, she serves on the board of the non-profit organization, Earthlinks. Vanita is a co-founder of the Center for Creative Collaboration, an organization committed to supporting collaboration and cooperation in the legal environment.
